The Turbinator is a portable generator designed for use at construction sites. This product uses compressed air to generate electricity when the primary energy source at a construction site is shut off due to rain storms.

The project, sponsored by ALCOA Aluminum, was an Integrated Product Development team project, in which I was the sole designer working with 4 mechanical engineers and an MBA student.

I entered the project just after an opportunity had been identified by my team: the construction industry.
